This is a semi-whenever list of interesting articles, podcasts and videos that I come across during the week. Hope you enjoy it, have something new to think about, and share it with your friends.

One thing that I have always enjoyed as part of the movie watching experience, is an incredible score. I recently came across “[Making Waves](http://www.dailynebraskan.com/culture/review-making-waves-a-delightful-documentary-about-sound-in-cinema/article%5F66c416fe-1636-11ea-880b-579e593e04c6.html)”, a documentary about sound in cinema, and it reminded me of the sheer brilliance of **Hans Zimmer**. So here I am, a week later on a non-stop listening spree. Zimmer has scored many of the films that have change the landscape of modern film: Gladiator, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, and The Dark Knight. This is only the start.

One of my favorite pieces is ‘Chevaliers de Sangreal’, from [The DaVinci Code](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382625/) — it’s played at the end of the film when Langdon realizes the duality of the cryptex’s map, and finally discovers the current location of the Grail. It’s true a masterpiece, and is later followed up with a sequel in [Angels & Demons “503”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMyT-Zuuy3w).

Since you’re locked up right now, I’d highly recommend watching “[Hans Zimmer — Live in Prague](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ctkq6mYRHPo)”, which is sometimes on Netflix and is available on [iTunes](https://itunes.apple.com/gb/movie/hans-zimmer-live-in-prague/id1467928460) if you want to see a true master that lifts the soul at work.

## End Thoughts

Finally, since we have all the time in the world right now, I’ll share one of my favorite scores from Zimmer (which is also called “Time”), from the movie [Inception](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/):

> *What is the most resilient parasite?*
> *Bacteria? A virus? An intestinal worm? An idea.*
> *Resilient… highly contagious.*
> *Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it’s almost impossible to eradicate.*
> *An idea that is fully formed — fully understood — that sticks;*
> *right in there somewhere.*
